At Way of Life, our goal is to create homes that are more than bricks and mortar. We believe in the power of putting down roots, helping our residents to feel connected and fulfilled, and in giving back to the communities we live in.

Cue the Way of Life Community Initiative, a long-term, strategic commitment to supporting our neighbourhoods and shaping lasting change. The initiative exists to help you, our residents, to participate in a social responsibility programme that’s scalable and sustainable with the bare minimum of fuss. At the heart of our plan is the ambition to deliver groundbreaking ‘green’ initiatives that leave a legacy in our communities.

The initiative is designed to support grassroots community projects in close proximity to each of our residences, and for you to be as hands on, or hands-off as you’d like to be. Anything you donate will be ring-fenced and donated in full to the local community project that your own residence supports, and of course you can connect with a project independently too; participating in events or donating your time and skills as a volunteer.

However you choose to give back, you can do so safe in the knowledge that you’ll be supporting tangible long-term change, close to home.

To make all this happen, we’ve partnered with a UK-wide charity called Groundwork. They’ll be our boots on the ground around the country, working closely with us to unearth local neighbourhood initiates that are deserving of your support. Thanks to their own infrastructure, they’ll enable us to donate to all our chosen projects in an impactful, easily scalable way.

In other words, working with Groundwork enables us to make a long-term commitment to change in our neighbourhoods. We have high hopes that – with your support – our funding will grow year-on-year, to the point where we’ll support local community projects and deliver larger scale regeneration projects, too. We plan to invest in sizeable green initiatives and facilitate connections to improve communities everywhere we call home.

It goes without saying that our partnership with Groundwork is closely collaborative, and Way of Life ensures that all the projects our residents support are chosen with consideration and with heart. Each residence chooses a project to support independently, which ensures your donations will help to grow a project that’s taking shape right on your own doorstep.
